Pricing Guidelines and Material Cost Calculation for Cladding Projects
We frequently receive inquiries regarding the cost per square meter (m2) for Cladding projects. Unfortunately, providing a straightforward answer is challenging due to various factors influencing the final price per m2. Based on customer calculations, the cost of A1 panels per m2 can range between €140 and €1,500 (price level 2022). However, the majority of A1 panels typically fall within the €300 to €550 per m2 range (price level 2022). This cost encompasses A1 materials, engineering, molds, production, finishing, transportation, and installation.
To assist you in calculating the A1 material cost for panel production, we present guidelines using a 2022 price of €4.13 per kg for A1. This rate is based on a suggested B2B price for volumes of 3,150 kg per delivery, excluding VAT and transportation costs. Determining the required panel strength is the initial step. For indoor panels, a 4mm thickness is often sufficient, while outdoor cladding projects typically require a thickness of 6 to 7 mm.

Material cost per m2: €32.90
A1 materials constitute only a portion of the total panel cost. Expenses for engineering, molds, production, finishing, transport, and installation contribute to the overall cost. Using A1 for Cladding panels can lead to cost savings in mold investments, transportation, and installation time compared to traditional materials.
In addition, consider the following advantages of A1 panels:
- Two demoldings per day for larger panels to three demoldings for smaller panels are possible due to the curing times of A1, resulting in savings on mold investments.
- A1 panels with a thickness of 7 mm weigh around 15 kg/m2, leading to transportation cost savings.
- The 15 kg/m2 weight also facilitates the installation of Cladding with fewer equipment requirements and in a fraction of the time needed for panels made of traditional materials.
